TOUR DETAILS
Located approximately 90km (about 2 hours) from Saigon, My Tho and Ben Tre lie nestled in the picturesque Mekong Delta, renowned as the "hometown of coconut" due to its abundant coconut plantations. The region boasts a rich variety of fruit trees, making it a key supplier of fruits to other provinces within the Mekong Delta.
Your journey begins with a departure at 8:00 AM from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel, embarking on a scenic drive to the Mekong Delta aboard a comfortable minivan or bus. Along the way, soak in the verdant beauty of rice fields before reaching the charming rural enclave of My Tho.
Upon arrival, continue your morning adventure aboard a motorized boat, cruising along the tranquil Tien River to reach the enchanting Lan (Unicorn Islet). Step ashore and venture into the village, where you'll have the opportunity to explore a local fruit garden, sampling tropical fruits while being serenaded by traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music.
Immerse yourself in the daily rhythms of village life, participating in local activities and capturing the essence of the idyllic countryside. Visit a bee house and perhaps snap a photo with the resident pythons before savoring a delectable lunch amidst the lush orchard garden.
As your boat navigates through the scenic Bao Dinh canal, you'll enter the verdant landscapes of Ben Tre province, aptly dubbed "the land of coconuts." Witness the unique agricultural model known as "Garden-Pond-Cage" before visiting a coconut candy-making shop to observe the artisanal crafting process.
Embark on a serene rowing boat excursion along the shaded water coconut tree-lined canals, immersing yourself in the tranquility of the surroundings. After your boat ride, return to the port and board another boat for the journey back to the mainland.
By late afternoon, around 4:30 to 5:00 PM for private tours and 6:00 to 6:30 PM for group tours, you'll return to Ho Chi Minh City, filled with memories of a day spent exploring the enchanting landscapes and vibrant culture of the Mekong Delta.
