3-Day Mekong Delta Private Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho (Lunch)
Your private guide and driver will pick you up from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel at approximately 8:00 AM. After a 1.5-hour drive, arrive in My Tho and board a motorboat to cruise along the Tien River.
Visit a tropical fruit garden, taste seasonal fruits, enjoy honey tea and listen to traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music. Continue to Ben Tre, known as Vietnam’s “Coconut Kingdom,” to visit a family-run coconut candy workshop.
Next, travel by hand-rowed sampan through narrow canals shaded by water coconut palms. Enjoy a Vietnamese lunch in a peaceful garden before exploring the village by bicycle or relaxing in the countryside.
In the afternoon, transfer by private vehicle to Can Tho and check in to your hotel at approximately 5:00 PM. The evening is free to relax or explore the city.
Boat trips along the canals are a fantastic river tourism experience. You'll get to weave through mangrove forests, admire the mangrove ecosystem, and discover the rustic life of the local people.
Day 2: Cai Rang Floating Market and Can Tho Countryside (Breakfast, Lunch)
After an early breakfast, board a private boat and cruise along the Can Tho River to visit Cai Rang Floating Market. Watch local traders sell tropical fruits, vegetables and breakfast from their boats while learning about the Delta’s river-based way of life.
Continue to a traditional rice noodle workshop and a local fruit orchard before returning to Can Tho for lunch. In the afternoon, cycle through peaceful villages, passing orchards, small canals and local homes at a relaxed pace.
Spend your second night in Can Tho. Depending on availability and your selected package, accommodation may be arranged at Bamboo Eco Village or a centrally located hotel. Dinner is included only with selected accommodation packages.
