Discover two of Central Vietnam’s most memorable experiences on one convenient afternoon tour from Da Nang. Ride a traditional bamboo basket boat through the waterways of Cam Thanh Coconut Forest before exploring the historic streets of Hoi An Ancient Town after sunset.
With round-trip hotel transfers, an English-speaking guide, entrance fees and a local dinner included, this Da Nang to Hoi An tour is ideal for travelers who want to experience nature, culture and Hoi An’s lantern-lit atmosphere in one easy trip.
Da Nang to Hoi An Tour Itinerary
2:30 PM – Hotel Pickup in Da Nang
Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in central Da Nang. Travel comfortably toward Cam Thanh Coconut Forest, with an optional stop at Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village to see traditional marble craftsmanship near the Marble Mountains.
4:00 PM – Cam Thanh Coconut Forest Basket Boat Ride
Arrive at Cam Thanh Coconut Village, located approximately five kilometres from Hoi An Ancient Town. Step into a traditional bamboo basket boat and travel along waterways shaded by water coconut palms.
Meet local boat operators, watch traditional fishing demonstrations and learn how fishing nets are cast. Depending on local conditions, you may also see energetic basket boat spinning and racing performances.
Guests who prefer a calm journey can request a peaceful basket boat ride without spinning.
5:00 PM – Explore Hoi An Ancient Town
Continue to UNESCO-listed Hoi An Ancient Town, once an important international trading port. Follow your guide through atmospheric streets lined with historic houses, temples, traditional shops and colorful lanterns.
Visit some of the Old Town’s best-known landmarks, including the Japanese Covered Bridge and centuries-old merchant houses. Your guide will introduce the cultural influences that shaped Hoi An’s distinctive architecture and character.
7:00 PM – Local Dinner in Hoi An
Take a break at a local restaurant and enjoy a dinner featuring regional Vietnamese dishes. Vegetarian meals and selected dietary alternatives may be arranged when requested in advance.
8:00 PM – Free Time in Lantern-Lit Hoi An
Enjoy free time to walk through Hoi An’s illuminated streets, browse the Night Market or shop for locally made souvenirs. This is also an excellent opportunity to photograph the Ancient Town after dark.
8:30 PM – Return to Da Nang
Meet your guide and return to Da Nang in an air-conditioned vehicle.
9:00–9:30 PM – Hotel Drop-Off
Arrive back at your hotel in central Da Nang, marking the end of your Coconut Forest and Hoi An evening tour.
