Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho (L)

Leaving the city skyline behind, we embark on a scenic 90-minute journey toward My Tho. Along the way, enjoy a cultural introduction to the region while passing through endless emerald rice paddies—a perfect first glimpse into the rural soul of Southern Vietnam.

Midday: Cruising the Serene Waterways Upon arrival, step aboard a private boat to navigate the legendary Mekong River. Witness the rhythm of daily life as we glide past floating houses and traditional aquaculture farms. To escape the typical tourist paths, we’ll steer into secluded, coconut-fringed canals, leading us to the tranquil "Coconut Kingdom" of Ben Tre.

Afternoon: Village Immersion & Local Traditions Disembark for an intimate stroll through a peaceful riverside village. You will be welcomed into a local family home to savor seasonal tropical fruits and sample artisanal honey tea and honey wine. Immerse yourself in the soulful melodies of "Don Ca Tai Tu," a UNESCO-recognized traditional folk music performed by the villagers.

As the largest and most spirited floating trade hub in the region, it offers a breathtaking cultural spectacle. Marvel at the symphony of sounds and colors as local merchants display their harvests from long wooden poles, a tradition that has defined Mekong river life for centuries.

Mid-Morning: Winding Waterways & Artisan Heritage Leaving the main market, we navigate the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong. These narrow, emerald channels offer a peaceful window into the "hidden" side of the Delta. We’ll step ashore to visit a traditional rice noodle workshop, where you can observe the fascinating, age-old process of creating this Vietnamese staple by hand. Afterward, wander through lush, sun-drenched fruit orchards, sampling the freshest seasonal picks straight from the branch.

Afternoon: Riverside Flavors & The Return Journey Enjoy a final Delta lunch at a local riverside eatery, savoring the peaceful atmosphere of the waterfront. This group tour includes visits to My Tho and Ben Tre, following a standard itinerary for group tours. You can have fun shopping at local workshops and checking out coconut processing facilities. Due to its popularity, this tour tends to be quite busy. While some may find this an attractive feature, others might perceive it as too touristy. Thanks for your understanding and getting ready for this experience.

We suggest a private tour if you’re looking for the most relaxed and personal experience. With your own private guide and boat, we can easily skip the commercial stops to ensure you have maximum time to enjoy the stunning river scenery and local life. However, if you're on a budget, you can opt for a group tour (15-20 people).
