How do you feel when traveling to Saigon .Do you only want to choose the fancy or tourist restaurants? Saigon is a food heaven where you will get spoiled with more than 3000 different kinds of Vietnamese street foods.  How to taste the most authentic Vietnamese street foods at hidden gems (non-tourist places) in a very short time while you are  staying in Saigon? Do you ever think that you can taste around nearly 20 different Vietnamese dishes  during our  4 hour trip? That is totally possible. Let our tour guides help turn your dreams of Vietnamese street food into a reality. After picking you up at your hotel, we will take you to hidden gems in district 3 and district 10 where you can eat like a local, eat what locals eat, walk through hidden alleys to see the local life and understand stories behind dishes from our passionate tour guides. Let your food adventure begin!

As this is a very popular tour, we recommend you book in advance so you can guarantee your spot when you first arrive in Ho Chi Minh city.  This tour will give you an insight and education into many local and traditional foods you wouldn't normally try . It will give you the ability to be confident in approaching street vendors whilst not just in Saigon but in your travels all over Vietnam!

This tour does not include pick up because it is a group tour. So we would like to meet you in front of Ben Thanh Market – opposite the big round-about. For private tour we will pick you up at the hotel.(we will confirm the night before).

During this tour we want you to try as many foods dishes  as you can. So we will offer a very small portion in  each place for you to taste. That's why you can try many types of street foods dishes  in just one evening.

We head to a local fresh food wet/dry market where we will give you an overview of every day Vietnamese life in Saigon. This is where the walking tour starts so make sure you have your comfy shoes on! From here we will start our casual 2.1 km stroll via the market place which is the hub of everyday life in Vietnam. We will taste our way through the local Saigon suburbs using main roads and smaller alleyways. We continue towards the most famous street food area stopping at least at a minimum 10 different mum and dad vendors to try their traditional food and condiments!

We have a master list of over 20 different dishes and drinks that we can try and on this tour we will try a minimum of 15 to 20 dishes depending on which vendors are out and about on any given day. Along the way we pass numerous back alleys and locals going about their daily business with fantastic photo opportunities along the way. We will pass food vendors, tailors making suits, hair dressers, biscuit makers, mechanics, bakeries and an orphanage whilst also navigating Vietnams infamous scooter traffic!

The tour’s final destination finishes up in a famous dessert place for Che (sweet soup). You will have a chance to try Flan cake, coconut jelly or Che, herbal tea …
