Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum The most important monument to see in Vietnam is the “Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum”, which is the eternal resting place of “Uncle Ho” the founder of the Indochina Communist Party and president from 1945 to 1969 of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam). It is also a place where the sentiments and beliefs of the country’s compatriots and soldiers converge. The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, located in the center of Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, Vietnam, serves as the final resting place of Vietnamese revolutionary leader and President Ho Chi Minh.
